What pleases God All of have certain things that bring us joy – things that please us in some way or another. And even though most of us probably don’t think about it, the same thing is true of God. There are a number of verses in the Bible that refer to things that are, “Pleasing to God,” or “His delight” or “His good pleasure.” And as we read through these passages they give us considerable insight into the personality and nature of God. With this in mind, consider the following verses: Numbers 24:1 “Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel…” 1 Chronicles 29:17 “I know, my God, that you test the heart and are
pleased with integrity.” “The Lord loves righteousness and justice.” Psalm 35:27 “The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant” Psalm 147:11 “The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love” Psalm 69:30-31 “I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.
